Just an update to let the church know what we are up to. We are now 1 month into our language course and with the immersion in the local community we are doing pretty well for old people We both got an 83 on our first test! Our class consists of two Koreans, two Germans, two Serbians, one Iranian, one Canadian, one Belgian, one Brit and one Norwegian – a very interesting cross-section of nationalities! We are getting to know them through coffees and lunches. As we tell them what we are doing we get to credit God with all the glory and explain His work in our lives. We are also meeting local Albanians and making friends. We have met an American contractor whom God placed in our path and got to share with him what God is doing for us – he was very interested. We introduced two of our favorite village university students to the local Campus Crusade for Christ organization so they can meet other Christian students and maybe their future spouses! Lynne is working with the village ladies to get jewelry made for the Christmas bazaar coming up soon. She also attended an international women’s group meeting and is meeting new people – who knows what God has in plan for that?! Len attends meetings with village men to continue building relationships in order to share Christ with them. He got to encourage and bless two visiting pastors (one from Sweden, one from Norway) at Friday night’s weekly village service. We are supporting and encouraging the local mission pastor and his wife – helped the pastor deliver a bed to a needy mother and her son this week. We attend an international church where the service is in both English and Albanian but as yet have not been led to serve in any way other than through our offerings. We are praying and having daily devotions together which not only gets us in tune together with God but gives us the strength and peace to do what He has called us to do. We keep up with the email and are heartsick about recent prayer chain requests. Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected to include family and loved ones. We pray daily for our church, especially the leaders which of course includes you and Elias. We thank God everyday for those willing to serve and further His kingdom through CBC in Rutland, VT. Enough for now – will keep you updated! Our regards and love to all!! In Christ’s matchless love. Len & Lynne
