The Mission Focus Team (M.F.T.) at CBC is designed around Matthew 28 - The Great Commission. The foundational energy in all programming is to reveal the freedom and truth of the gospel. It takes purposeful effort to ensure that evangelism remains the focus and that service follows.
Planned for the last Wednesday of each Month - 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Open to the Public - all are welcome.
The night is complete with warm soups, bread, dessert and beverage. We hope to warm your soul with some homemade soup accompanied with casual worship music and a spiritually related message that warms your soul and draws you closer to God!
At Calvary, we believe just saying “we support our troops” is one thing, but real support means spending our time, energy and resources toward what matters to them! In January, over a thousand men and women will be deployed to the Middle East. On December 6th, the local armory is hosting a Christmas Party for these families and we plan to help them celebrate! Calvary will be there with resources like: Puppet-Up Productions, free popcorn and a bounce house in an effort to make their celebration more festive!
November 7 - 15, 2009Calvary is delighted for Len and Lynne Benson, Joyce Bouchard and Carol Holtz as they travel to Albania and work with Planters Seed Foundation to share God’s Word with a mostly atheistic people Prayer and financial support is needed. Please consider giving a special offering to help offset the costs, mark your financial gift “Albania Trip”.

You and your family are encouraged to join Bill and Martina Miller as they prepare and serve a hot meal to the homeless in Rutland. This action expresses the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus to people receiving the meal, as well as the good hearted servants that oversee the local mission home. Your children (ages 12 +) will love doing this with you! Meeting there at the shelter, every fourth Saturday of each month, we need all who are willing! Please call Bill Miller at 773.8999 to schedule a time.
These are hard times to live in Vermont. Middle-class families struggle to manage the financial strains of todays economy. A church can offer spirtual support, but sometimes people have tangible needs. Food Gift Bags are available to our families and for our neighbors. There are two purposes for these bags. First, the opportunity to share with a neighbor, family member, or friend who may be falling on hard times with a simple act of kindness: a grocery bag filled with staple items & non-perishable foods. Secondly, to offer hope even to our own families who may need some assistance.
Each bag includes The Gospel of John and other literature that can bridge conversation about Christ. The contents are primarily donated by CBC family; see insert for further details on donating items or resources. Bags are available on Sundays - lower fellowship hall - near the nurseries.

600+ area Rutland Residents came out for this Magnificent Event!
The attendance to this event far exceeded our expectations! We could not have done it without you! No doubt the colorful bounce house, huge slide, and aroma of grilled hot dogs beckoned to passers-by to stop and take part in the action! From the puppet show to the cotton candy, from the magician show to the craft tent—Rutland City had the most amazing free day of family fun!
The crowds rocked-on to the sounds of “Witness” and “Soul Purpose” - our guest music performers. They graciously shared God’s Word through music lyrics ringing in their ears. The message of hope and joy that we find in true Christianity was apparently attractive to on-lookers. We heard many positive comments from our guests.
Many thanks to the 50 + Calvary volunteers who willingly donated their time and talents to serve our community through this phenomenal event!
A unique opportunity to be church IN the community not just ON a corner! We invite you to team with Gary Bouchard and Dave Preedom as they follow Christ into emergency situations in the Rutland area! Our intent is to provide the community with relief while experiencing extreme circumstances.
We do not want to miss this opportunity again! We can mobilize simple, short term relief assistance that can place Christ in the center of Rutland's recovery process! We could offer: hot coffee & food for tired work crews, radio broadcasting, tarp hanging... there are endless God opportunities.
The ERT is characterized as the Christians who exercised random acts of kindness to our community!
